Warrant Excecuted |

Dear Fairfield Residents,
In the early hours of yesterday morning, officers from Fairfield SNT carried out a planned Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant within the ward. The operation resulted in the arrest of one male suspect. The warrant originated from information provided by local residents who suspected that drug dealing was taking place in their area. Fairfield SNT officers subsequently developed this information through proactive enquiries and intelligence gathering. The resulting evidence and intelligence package was then presented to the court, which authorised the warrant. Following the granting of the warrant, Fairfield SNT coordinated the necessary resources and specialist officers to ensure a controlled and safe entry to the property. After the successful execution of the warrant in the early hours of the morning, Fairfield SNT officers carried out the initial stages of the investigation, including the interview of the suspect and the completion of all necessary post-arrest enquiries. This successful operation was led by PC Claydon, whose work in developing the intelligence and coordinating the warrant was instrumental to its outcome. We would also like to apologise to any residents who were woken a little earlier than planned while officers carried out this important enforcement activity.
We continue to encourage residents to report any concerns relating to drug dealing or anti-social behaviour, as information provided by the community is often the starting point for police investigations. Reports from residents help us build intelligence, identify those involved in criminal activity, and, where appropriate, develop evidence that may lead to further enforcement action, including the execution of warrants.
